To login to your site:

The easiest way is to press escape key (esc) while on your site

 

Once logged in, click on arrow in top left corner.

All editing is done in “Pages” section

 

Click on “Pages”, all pages will be listed on the left side.

There are three areas of pages: Main, Secondary, Not Linked

 

To add a Product:

Click on Pages, then on Shop

1. Double click on any product

2. At the bottom on product window, click Duplicate

3. Begin to fill in tea name, and descriptions. Note that the tea description and other type in this section are styled either “Heading 2”, “Heading 3” or “Normal”

4. Add product image by double clicking on “Upload Images” then navigate to choose your image

5. Add categories on bottom left

6. Change pricing above, if needed

7. Click Save and Publish

 

Editing text:

1. Click on Pages, then on the page name (such as “Retailers”)

2. At the top of the page you’ll see a grey bar with the words, 

“Page Content   EDIT   Settings’

3. Click on EDIT

4. When you roll over a text block, navigating arrow will change to a text cursor, place it where you’d like to start typing

*please note: on your Retailers page, a second column is set up and ready for you to add more retailers (you’ll see “Write here” when in the text editing mode)

 

Adding a link to an image:

1. Click on Pages, then on the page name (such as “Retailers”)

2. At the top of the page you’ll see a grey bar with the words, 

“Page Content   EDIT   Settings’

3. Click on EDIT

4. When you roll over an image, a grey bar will pop up that says “image EDIT”

5. Click on edit, and a window will pop up

6. At the bottom you’ll see a box that says “click to add URL”

7. You have a choice of linking to Content, Files or External

8. If you choose Content, you’ll be linking to a page in your site. Scroll down to select the page you’d like to link to.

9. Make sure you save this in 2 places. First in this window, choose “APPLY”, then on the page you’re editing, choose “SAVE”

10. Test the link on a non-logged in ybtco.com site (see note about non-logged in URL’s below)

 

For the Turmeric Tea link, I linked to “External”, because I wanted to choose the Turmeric product page with all the details and descriptions. To link to an external URL, copy the URL from the page you want to link to, and paste it in the box. A glitch I noticed is that when copying a URL from your site, make sure it’s not the logged-in version of your site. When you’re NOT signed in, the URL is http://www.ybtco.com/

When signed in, the URL changes to https://ybtc.squarespace.com/

So, I toggled back and forth from the logged in site I’m working in, to another window where I’m not logged in to copy the correct page URL.

Updating your map:

Access the Farmers Market map from the link I sent to you
(sharing the map with you). It was sent to your teasmiths@gmail account

Once you've accessed the map, this link will give you good step by step instructions for updating the map:

Once map is updated:

1. Go to your site, log in, click on Pages, then Farmers Markets

2. Click on EDIT in the grey bar at the top of the page

3. Roll over the button and click EDIT

4. You’ll see the clickthrough URL area, make sure External is chosen, then paste in the URL from the updated Google map.

5. Click on APPLY to save, then on SAVE on the main page.

6. Test the link on a non-logged in ybtco.com site
